PennySaverUSA.com appreciates its amazing partners

With Hanukkah starting tonight and Christmas just five days away, all of us here at PennySaverUSA.com (see the staff pictured on the right) figured it was the perfect time to show appreciation for some of the amazing partners we’ve worked with this year and provide them the present of publicity!

Happy Holidays from the PennySaverUSA.com staff!

Below is a list of sites that have helped PennySaverUSA.com to its best year ever along with a description of the site and what makes them such a great partner.

The Reali$tic Couponers: Coupon alerts, giveaways and freebies are the primary forte of this site.

What makes it so wonderful; however, is the variety of the content. The site’s main purveyor, Brandi, does a fantastic job of providing an interesting blend of posts. Take today for example: She’s got up a personal reflection of the holidays called “The Spirit of the Season”, a coupon alert for glimmer and fake tattoos, a deal alert for diapers and a recipe for Sticky Buns.

Free Sample Momma: Freebies and coupons are what this site specializes in.

The great thing about Free Sample Momma is that she focuses on free stuff that is good for a general audience. Whether it be Target, Walmart or Amazon; Free Sample Momma is always on top of all the current offers from the biggest chains and stores.

Nifty Mom: A site that concentrates mainly on the 4 Cs: Couponing, crafting, cooking and critiquing.

In addition to having excellent content, the strength of this site is its easy-to-read layout. Anyone interested in getting to know more about any of the 4 Cs should definitely check this site out as she does a good job of balancing her content between each C.

“The” Cents’Able Shoppin: Frugal living and couponing for everyday folk is what this site is all about.

A recent redesign has added some creative flair to what has always been an outstanding resource for coupons, deals and freebies. For any aspiring couponer, this site is a must-read and it rarely strays from its focus of announcing newsworthy coupons and deals.

Just Married With Coupons: Count on plenty of reviews, giveaways, and yes, coupons from this site.

Though the site is called Just Married With Coupons, we actually believe its best content comes from its reviews and giveaways, which are prevalent and very high quality. The site itself is also extremely visually appealing, and they actually provide design services at a good price, if you are interested in starting your own blog.

If you have a site or blog and would like to partner with us, please email jfeller@pennysaverusa.com.

Save Money Monday: Online Coupons 101

It can be a daunting experience to get started using online coupons. Between finding the online coupons, organizing them and planning how to use them; the entire endeavor is a bit overwhelming.

The Save Money Monday key for anyone interested in online coupons is simplicity. Begin with the basics.

The top reason people give up trying to use online coupons seems to be that they try to do too much, too fast.

Think about it. You wouldn’t succeed in a 12th grade calculus class if you had never even taken basic math.

Our suggestion is to focus on one category of goods or services and stick to couponing for that one category for the first few weeks.

For example, if you eat cereal every morning, concentrate on online coupons for cereal. Check sources like the PennySaver, the local newspaper and the Facebook page of the major cereal manufacturers like Kellogg’s to find online coupons. Place them in your wallet or purse as soon as you find them. Then when you refill your cereal on your next trip to the supermarket, you’ll have your online coupons with you.

After a month, try adding another category to your online coupons list and little by little, you’ll be in a position to do couponing on a grander scale.

This week’s highlighted Save Money Monday resource for helping you in your online coupons journey is Money Saving Mom. She’s got a fantastic personal finance blog that alerts you to the best coupons and provides sage advice on how to use them to help your pocketbook.

free waffle

This Free Friday online coupon is pretty self explanatory.

Breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day, so we decided to give the top Free Friday spot to The Waffle House. Print this online coupon (valid through Sept. 30) to get a free waffle at The Waffle House. (Thanks Tamona’s Tips)

For many of us, breakfast wouldn’t be complete without some coffee. Luckily you can get it for free with this Free Friday offer from Joe Coffee! Just fill out a short form and they will send you out a free sample. (Thanks The Frugal Free Gal)

As all of the parents reading this know, diapers can get really expensive. Well here is a little relief from the sticker shock. Sam’s Club has a free sample for Huggies Snug&Dry Diapers. Click the “Get a sample” button in the center of the page and then complete the short survey to get a sample. Note: The membership number field is not required, so you don’t have to be a member to get the sample.

The next Free Friday offer is a little complicated, so please read carefully:

Bayer is giving away 2,000 online coupons for a free bottle of New Bayer Advanced Aspirin every day. They give away the coupons at different times each day, so you have to sign up to receive an email alert at the bottom right of the page that lets you know when the promotion is live.  When it goes live, you have to be one of the first 2,000 people to share it on your Facebook page, and if you are, they will send you the online coupon.

Onto a simpler Free Friday offer.Visit any Nordstrom Rack to pick up your free Threads for Thoughts comsmetics bag. No purchase necessary! Go soon, though, because supplies are limited.

Join SaverTime.com and get a coupon for a free whopper!

Supplies are NOT limited for our next Free Friday offer. SaverTime.com, our new daily deal site, will send you a coupon for a FREE Whopper if you sign up for their daily deal emails. The coupon is valid at Los Angeles/Orange/San Bernadino/Riverside County locations.

Now onto a pair of offers that require a purchase to get free stuff. If you buy any Ojon product, they will include their Damage Reverse shampoo & conditioner for free! As an added bonus, they are throwing in free shipping if you make a purchase of at least $50.

Bath & Bodyworks is back at it with another Free Friday offer. They have an online coupon for a free Halloween Pocketbac with any purchase. It doesn’t matter whether the purchase is online or at the store, just make sure to follow the instructions on the coupon. (Thanks Penny Pinchin’ Mom)

Gift ideas for President Obama on his 50th birthday

Today marks Barack Obama’s 50th birthday and PennySaverUSA wanted to share some gift ideas for the President of the United States of America.

Our first gift ideas suggestion for President Obama is a massage! What with that nasty debt debate and then today’s stock market crash, it’s a tough time to man the Oval Office. Thankfully on his next trip to Orange County, he can get 50% off a massage at Body Therapy Center with this SaverTime daily deal.

With gold so incredibly expensive right now and President Obama looking for ways to save money, our next gift ideas suggestion is for a personalized sterling silver pendant! This daily deal is also from SaverTime and even comes with free shipping, so you wouldn’t have to pay to get it to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

original pizza

President Obama deserves a nice big pizza for his birthday.

Nothing says party like pizza. Hence our next gift ideas suggestion for President Obama. On his next trip to the Sunshine State (Florida), PennySaverUSA would be glad to treat him to an awesome pie at Original Pizza II. Even better, they have great online coupons which would help cut down the expenses!

Our last gift ideas suggestion for President Obama’s 50th birthday is a cell phone app. The United States is the “Land of the free” after all, so we are giving him something that’s free! It’s called MOGASA, and it’s PennySaverUSA’s new cell phone app that helps you find, post and review garage sales (download it for iPhone or Android).

If you have more gift ideas for President Obama’s 50th, please leave them in the comments.

Free Friday: Tons of great offers for free stuff

Hey, hey, hey, what can I say, it’s just one of those Free Friday days! That time of the week when PennySaverUSA.com highlights the best offers for free stuff from around the web.

Sign up to receive free Honey Nut Cheerios.

Kicking off the free stuff in this Free Friday is an offer for Honey Nut Cheerios. It’s the favorite cereal of yours truly, PennySaverUSA.com blogger Jason Feller, and the opportunity to get it for free was too good not to put in the No. 1 spot. Making this offer for free stuff even better is that it also includes an online coupon for $0.75. All you have to do is fill out a short form and sign up for the Betty Crocker newsletter.

Given that this is the last Holiday Weekend for a couple of months, it stands to reason that the next Free Friday offer for free stuff would be for a fun outing. Bank of America is giving all of its account holders, who have a credit or debit card, free access to over 153 cultural institutions, including museums, zoos, botanical gardens and more.

McDonalds makes its first entry into Free Friday this week. The Golden Arches have an online coupon for a free smoothie, with the purchase of another smoothie. When Ronald McDonald has offers for free stuff it’s always worth a mention.

With Independence Day on a Monday, this weekend figures to be one of the biggest party weekends of the year. The next Free Friday offer for free stuff is for all you social butterflies. You want to be smelling good when you arrive on the scene, so take advantage of this offer for free fragrance from Hugo Boss.

We’ve all been there. You are out somewhere and everything is going great and then it happens. You spill something on your shirt and suddenly look like a sloppy mess. Thanks to the next Free Friday offer for free stuff, you have nothing to worry about. Shout is giving out samples of its “Wipe & Go” wipes product, if you fill out a short form.

Admit it. Many of you are already thinking about what you can add to your home from Ikea this holiday weekend. Well, if you have kids or are a college student, you can at least get some free grub in the process. The furniture chain is offering a free entree for college students on Saturday and free food for kids all weekend.

free dog food

Get your dog some free food from Alpo.

The final Free Friday offer for free stuff is catered to your dog. It just didn’t feel right to not let Sparky (or whatever your dog’s name is) in on the fun. Alpo is giving away free samples of its Prme Cuts dog food to anyone who agrees to “Like” their Facebook page.

That’s it for this edition of Free Friday. Have a great holiday weekend everyone!

Just call it a conflict. On one side of the ledger, you’ve got the ice cream enthusiasts. On the other side lie the frozen yogurt fans. PennySaverUSA.com is here to settle the debate.

First let’s go over the pros and cons of each.

Ice cream (get online coupons for ice cream):

Free Friday: Save big with online coupons

This Free Friday thing just keeps on building steam. Every week the offers seem to be getting better and better, and PennySaverUSA.com is excited to continue providing you with online coupons for awesome freebies.

Free Friday

Download Sephora's iPhone app to get a free cell phone case.

Sephora has given away free samples in the past, but this time it has a different sort of online coupon – one a bit more stylish, you might say. If you download the free Sephora to Go app for your iPhone, you can get a fashionable iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 case for free with any purchase. As an additional perk, you can also pick five free samples once you have downloaded the app (until April 5).

If that’s not your thing, there is another great online coupon for iPhone (or iPad/iPod Touch) users available. To celebrate the start of the season, Major League Baseball is offering its MLB.TV service (which allows you to watch games live online in HD and with extra features) free for the month of April (a $19.99 value) with the purchase of the AtBat11 app ($14.99) that permits you to watch any game on your Apple device.

Don’t worry if you don’t have an iPhone, though, there are a number of other outstanding online coupons on this Free Friday. Degree is giving away women’s deodorant to people who become a fan of their Facebook page and Wellness Natural Food for Pets is offering a free pet food sample to people who “Like” their Facebook page.

Free Friday

Don't miss out on this coupon for free pet food samples.

For those without an iPhone or Facebook, there are still plenty more online coupons for free stuff that don’t involve either. Arby’s is including free cinnamon bites with any combo purchase and Kroger’s Grocery Stores are handing out complimentary 2.5oz bag of Frito Lays Chips today from 3 p.m.-8 p.m.

In our last two Free Friday deals this week, $40 seems to be the magic number. Old Navy is giving away free tote bags (value: $12.50) with any purchase of $40 or more, and Toys R’ Us is giving $10 towards the purchase of WWE’s Wrestlemania pay-per-view with any purchase of $40 worth of WWE merchandise.

Please leave any awesome Free Friday deals you have come across in our comments, and we will give you credit and Tweet them out. And don’t forget, PennySaverUSA.com is the best source for online coupons.
